Lamastu is a Black Metal band from Madrid, Spain, formed in the summer of 2014, after a search to find the way to express the emotions of the three members: José Luis Mosqueda, Alberto Zamora and José Zamora.
Quickly began the composition of what would be the band’s first album, “Witchcult”, which was ready to see the light in the middle of 2015. It was composed of six compositions, which collected rawness and darkness with a classic sound, within the parameters of black metal.
Witchcult was edited in cassette by the french label Wulfrune Worxxx, in limited edition of 33 copies. In addition, the band made “handmade” editions which were given to people very close to the environment of the components.In December of the same year, “No Presents for Christmas” was released, an EP that contained two subjects, “Black Metal” and “Overkill”, and that it was intended to be a homage to the bands that made Lamastu exist, providing a new sound , That supposed a fun before beginning the composition of the second album, and another 13 “handmade” copies with “Witchcult” and “No Presents For Christmas” albums for friends.
Throughout 2016, what was the second album was formed, which would definitely come out in February 2017, with eight new songs, which contribute to growth in compositional aspirations and the way of understanding black metal.
